Kimberly is a founding principal of LILA, where she directs the strategic vision and operations of the practice and leads its global business development and communications. Her work sits at the meeting point of design and advocacy, uniting architects, landscape architects, planners, engineers, private clients, and public agencies behind projects that advance equitable development and environmental resilience.

Before founding LILA, Kimberly spent nine years at Martha Schwartz Partners, rising from consultant to Managing Partner and overseeing strategic communications, global business development, research, and operations across the firm’s New York, London, and Shanghai offices. She grew the firm’s social media presence by more than 1,900 percent, rebuilt its approach to prospecting around market research, and helped increase gross revenues by more than 250 percent in four years. Projects she secured during that period include the Nassau Entertainment Hub in New York, the Qiddiya Master Plan and King Abdullah International Gardens in Saudi Arabia, the Ontario Place Public Realm Master Plan in Toronto, the Banco Popular headquarters campus in San Juan, and the Wave Bridge in Indianapolis.

Kimberly came to landscape architecture from a career in media and brand strategy, with senior roles at Condé Nast, Time Inc., American Express Publishing, National Geographic, and Newsweek. That grounding in how ideas reach an audience shapes how she advocates for the profession today. She chairs the annual PlanScapeArch symposium convened by ASLA-NY, AIANY, and APA Metro New York, co-chairs advocacy for ASLA-NY, and has presented at MIPIM in Cannes, the Biophilic Design Conference in London, NAVIG8 in Hyderabad, and successive ASLA national conferences. She also teaches at the New York Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and Farmingdale State College.

Kimberly holds a Master of Landscape Architecture, summa cum laude, from Rutgers University, where her thesis on the cultural landscape of Camp Kilmer won the Julius Gy. Fabos Research Award and her team took first place in the 2017 HUD Innovation in Affordable Housing competition. She also holds a Master of Fine Art, summa cum laude, from the School of Visual Arts, a Bachelor of Fine Art from the Hartford Art School, and a Certificate in Landscape Design from the New York Botanical Garden.
